'Bob' was just about the nicest Grandfather a person could ever have! I remember he used to bring my brother and myself to the golf course with him as much as possible when we were growing up. He tried his best to teach us the love of golf but my brother was the only one that kept it up! We were his only grandkids and as he was a big kid at heart we had masses of fun. Myself and he were very close and when he had his first stroke I was absolutly devestated. Ten years later his body finally gave up and he passed away peacefully. He never got to meet his two greatgrandchildren. He would have loved them so much. They know all about him and always ask me to tell them stories of the fun and silly times we had together! Today is his 11th anniversary and I still miss him more than words can say. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of him.
Hope you're still hitting holes in one Grandpa, my favourate 'wee man'!

Also rembering his wife Elsie (Gracrane) (also on 'Gone too soon'), who passed away on Monday 24th March 2008, in her 99th year.
